About Cafe Setup
Cafe Setup helps you put together your first coffee setup without guessing. Pick an espresso machine or a brewer, add a grinder and the small tools that go with it, and see what it all costs at stores in Canada and the US.

What the site does
- Compares gear on the same specs. Every machine, grinder and brewer is described with the same fields, so you can put them side by side. When no source states a spec, we say “Not listed” instead of guessing.
- Checks that parts fit. The setup builder knows basket sizes, grind ranges and filter paper sizes. It warns you when a part won’t work with the rest of your setup, and says so when a spec is missing and it can’t tell.
- Finds the lowest price. We check prices at specialty coffee stores and brands’ own stores every day. You see the lowest current price in your country, every store that sells it, and when we last checked.
Who it’s for
People buying their first real coffee gear. If you already know you want a dual-boiler machine with flow profiling, you’ll still find the specs and prices useful, but the site is built for the person standing at “Do I need a grinder, and how much should I spend?”
Independent
Cafe Setup is independent. No brand or store owns it or pays to be listed, and we don’t sell anything ourselves. Products are ordered by price and specs, never by who pays us.
Where the information comes from
Specs and photos come from the manufacturers’ own websites, with retailers’ spec tables filling gaps. When sources disagree or a page is wrong, we correct the value by hand and keep a note of the source. Prices come from the stores listed on How we collect prices.
